Green Groups Sue EPA Over Past Due Mojave Desert Ozone Review

The Center for Biological Diversity and the Center for Environmental Health launched a lawsuit Thursday targeting ozone pollution implementation plans they claim are far past the EPA’s Clean Air Act deadline for review.

Elements of State Implementation Plans from Colorado and California air districts that govern ozone pollution in the Mohave Desert have “now languished” at the Environmental Protection Agency, according to the lawsuit filed at the US District Court for the Northern District of California.
