The Environmental Defense Fund, Center for Biological Diversity, and nine other health and environmental groups filed a petition for review Wednesday against a final action that punts compliance dates for methane limits in the oil and gas sector.
The groups filed their petition at the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit, claiming the federal government’s delay of methane protections is a “rushed and unlawful” action in violation of the Clean Air Act, according to a press release.
