Greece Approves Net Metering, Levy on Profit of Renewable Energy

Greece has approved a renewable-energy bill to introduce net metering to support residential-scale projects, as well as a new levy on electricity producers.

Net metering, giving households credits for passing on unused solar or wind power they generate to the grid, applies to photovoltaic installations of less than 10 kilowatts and small wind turbines, according to the Parliament’s website.
