The Energy Department owes Entergy Nuclear Indian Point 2, LLC approximately $34.4 million in damages for the department’s failure to remove spent nuclear fuel from the Indian Point Unit 2 reactor located outside of New York City (Entergy Nuclear Indian Point 2, LLC v. United States, 2016 BL 341484, Fed. Cl., 13-619C, 10/13/16).
