Gov. Branstad Signs Measure Creating Tax Credits for Solar, Geothermal Energy

ST. PAUL, Minn.—Iowa Gov. Terry Branstad (R) May 25 signed legislation that will create income tax credits for residents who install solar or geothermal energy systems in their homes.

Both credits will be based on the federal income tax credits available for such installations. The bill also provides that if the federal credits are extended, both state credits will be extended as well.
