Workers at Alphabet Inc.'s Google and Microsoft Corp. are joining Amazon.com Inc.'s employees in a tech industry walkout over climate change.
The Sept. 20 walkouts, announced by employee groups on Twitter, are an offshoot of a global youth-led movement to strike from school in a call for tougher climate policies.
The walkout follows a pattern of tech worker protests over issues from Google’s handling of sexual misconduct claims to Microsoft’s sale of artificial intelligence software to law enforcement.
