Germany, France, Italy Deepen Critical Raw Materials Cooperation

Germany, France and Italy agreed to work more closely together to widen and secure access to critical raw materials needed for industry in the euro area’s biggest economies as Europe tries to reduce its reliance on China.

At a meeting in Berlin on Monday, German Economy Minister Robert Habeck, French Finance Minister Bruno Le Maire and Italian Industry Minister Adolfo Urso pledged to set up extraction, processing and recycling targets for strategic minerals and metals.
