German Wind Power Set for Record High as Storm Hits North Europe

German wind power output is forecast to hit a record high on Thursday as the effects of a storm moving through the Nordic region brings strong gusts.

Production from the thousands of turbines in the nation is set to peak at 60,575 megawatts on Thursday at 6 p.m., according to a Bloomberg model. Forecasts show generation may go even higher on Friday. The current record, 50,802 megawatts, happened at the end of January this year.
