General Dynamics, US Swap Millions in Hazardous Response Costs

The federal government and a General Dynamics Corp. subsidiary agreed to reimburse each other for costs incurred responding to the threat of hazardous substances near the Crab Orchard National Wildlife Refuge Site in Illinois.

The Justice Department sued General Dynamics-Ordnance and Tactical Systems Inc. and other companies on Jan. 10 under the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation, and Liability Act.
