Full DC Circuit to Rehear Greenhouse Gas Reduction Grants Case

Environmental groups and state green banks convinced the full DC Circuit Wednesday to vacate and reconsider an earlier ruling that allowed the EPA to rescind billions of dollars in grants.

The US Court of Appeals for the DC Circuit’s decision is a setback for the Trump administration, which has been trying to cancel billions of dollars issued under the 2022 climate law and other statutes, broadly on the grounds that they were given out haphazardly, with little oversight, and sometimes to the Biden administration’s political allies.
