EDF Energies Nouvelles SA’s Israeli subsidiary commissioned a 50-megawatt solar plant in Israel. The Zmorot photovoltaic plant is located in the Negev desert in southern Israel, the Paris-based company said in a statement. The panels were supplied by EDF ENR PWT, a manufacturer owned by Electricite de France SA. EDF EN Israel now operates 11 solar plants in Israel with a combined capacity of 160 megawatts of installed capacity.
