Foxconn Technology Group’s construction of a manufacturing plant in Wisconsin, which could include paving over flood-buffering wetlands, will be examined at a House Small Business Committee hearing in Wheeling, Ill., on July 19.
The field hearing will look at the effect environmental waivers may have on small businesses, particularly when the waivers could lead to crippling floods.
Also on the agenda is business assistance through the Small Business Administration’s Office of Disaster Assistance, which provides low-interest loans to businesses damaged or destroyed in a declared disaster.
