Four Superfund Sites Added to EPA’s National Priorities List

Four hazardous waste properties were added to the Environmental Protection Agency’s national list of Superfund sites Jan. 9.

The move comes as EPA Administrator Scott Pruitt focuses on changing the Superfund process and accelerating the return of contaminated lands to productive uses.

The agency also proposed to add 10 additional sites to its National Priorities List of Superfund sites.

New Priority Sites

The following sites are being added to the priorities list:

  • Newark South Ground Water Plume in Newark, Del.;
  • American Creosote DeRidder in DeRidder, La.;
  • Mississippi Phosphates Corp. in Pascagoula, Miss.; and
  • Eagle Industries in Oklahoma ...
