David Crane, former CEO of NRG Energy, Inc., will be nominated for Under Secretary for Infrastructure at the Energy Department, the White House said Wednesday.
- The under secretary for infrastructure is in charge of the Energy Department’s clean energy infrastructure programs. Crane’s work will focus on energy security, infrastructure financing, clean energy financing, and the department’s regional hydroelectric power operations.
- Crane is the CEO of New Jersey-based Climate Real Impact Solutions and is a board member at Heliogen, Inc., a solar energy company, and Source Global, PBC, a public-benefit water technology company.
