Former Lobbyist Named Energy Commission Chairman’s Chief of Staff

Anthony Pugliese, a former Pennsylvania energy lobbyist, was named Aug. 21 as new Federal Energy Regulatory Commission Chairman Neil Chatterjee’s chief of staff.

Pugliese had served since January as the senior White House adviser for the Transportation Department, where he oversaw pipeline safety and regulatory issues. He also played a role in the development and planning of President Donald Trump’s infrastructure proposal, according to a FERC announcement.

From 2012 to 2016, Pugliese worked as a lobbyist for his father’s lobbying firm, Pugliese Associates based in Harrisburg, Pa., working on energy issues involving solar, oil and natural gas. Current ...
