Former L.A. Tenants’ Toxic Chemical Exposure Claims Dismissed

Former tenants of an allegedly toxic property in Los Angeles once used for auto parts recycling lost their attempt to hold the owner liable for exposing them to harmful substances, according to an order in the Central District of California.

Ivory Holdings LLC and Lido Sailing Club LLC allegedly rented a contaminated property to Todd Bertrang and Ophie Beltran. The U.S. District Court for the Central District of California granted the companies’ motions to dismiss the claims Tuesday because the plaintiffs are no longer involved with the property.
