A conservation group missed its deadline to challenge the federal government’s authorization and delegation of authority to Alaska for the commercial troll salmon fishery in the southeastern part of the state, a Washington federal court ruled.
An injunction would require the closure of a federal fishery, so the challenge by Wild Fish Conservancy “necessarily entails” the Magnuson-Stevens Fishery Conservation and Management Act, according to the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Washington.
