Salt Lake City reached the number four spot in the IQAir Global Pollution Index on Tuesday as California’s Dixie Fire devoured more territory.
Denver, also in the path of the second-largest blaze in California’s history, registered number eight on the index. The city topped the list on Saturday.
The National Weather Service is forecasting “patchy smoke” for Salt Lake City on Tuesday and “widespread smoke, mainly before noon” for Denver.
