Federal Court Approves BP Settlement Of Medical Claims in Class Action Lawsuit

HOUSTON—A federal court has given final approval to the medical benefits portion of a class action settlement to resolve most medical claims against BP of thousands of individuals seeking compensation for illness resulting from the oil spill or cleanup operations following the 2010 Deepwater Horizon accident (In Re Oil Spill by the Oil Rig “Deepwater Horizon” in the Gulf of Mexico on April 20, 2010).
