A Falun Gong compound in New York illegally discharges polluted wastewater into nearby rivers, an environmental group alleged in its second federal lawsuit against Dragon Springs Buddhist Inc.
Mid-New York Environmental and Sustainability Promotion Committee Inc., doing business as NYenvironcom, sued Dragon Springs, alleging that it violated the Clean Water Act and state law by discharging pollutants in wastewater and storm water “well beyond” the limits of its permits and applicable law into the Basher Kill and Neversink River, which in turn empty into the Delaware River.
