Exxon Fraud Case Ruling on Climate-Change Costs Set Next Week

A New York judge plans to decide next week whether the state has proven its claim that Exxon Mobil Corp. misled investors about how it accounts for the future financial risks of climate change, an allegation the company disputed during a securities-fraud trial last month.

New York Supreme Court Justice Barry Ostrager, who oversaw 11 days of testimony that ended Nov. 7, said Friday after a short hearing in Manhattan that he will issue his decision next week.
