Former Seattle deputy mayor Casey Sixkiller has been named head of the EPA’s Pacific Northwest region, according to the agency.
As the new administrator of Region 10—which spans Washington, Oregon, Alaska, Idaho, and 271 tribal nations—Sixkiller will play a lead role in overseeing the recovery of the Puget Sound in Washington, restoring the Columbia River Basin in Idaho and Montana, and protecting the Bristol Bay in Alaska.
