Former EPA air chief Bill Wehrum, who resigned amid controversy last year, is now running his own law firm and representing industry trade groups against the agency.
Wehrum filed a petition for review Tuesday on behalf of the American Fuel & Petrochemical Manufacturers, American Petroleum Institute, and American Chemistry Council, opposing a risk and technology review that the Environmental Protection Agency finalized in July.
The former assistant administrator signed the filing and listed Wehrum Environmental Law LLP as his affiliation. He didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment on the new venture.
