Evergreen Packaging to Pay $2.1 Million to Settle Air Violations

Evergreen Packaging LLC will pay a civil penalty of $256,973 and implement a $2.1 million supplemental environment project to settle alleged Clean Air Act violations, according to the EPA Monday.

A consent decree and final order alleges the company didn’t control hazardous air pollutants at their facility, failed to meet fuel specifications for boilers, and failed to close washer windows/hoods during operation.
