Evangeline Pass Expansion Project Reasonably Approved by FERC

Environmental groups and natural gas pipeline customers on Tuesday lost their challenges to the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission’s approval and terms for the Evangeline Pass Expansion Project.

The consolidated petitions for review were denied because “FERC’s certification was reasonable and reasonably explained” and “so was its decision to deny a windfall to a pipeline owner’s existing customers,” Judge Justin R. Walker said for the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit.
