The European Chemicals Agency Oct. 28 released a draft update to its Community Rolling Action Plan (CoRAP), which lists substances that European Union member states and ECHA have evaluated or will evaluate for toxicity during the coming years.
The update, which covers the years 2016–2018, lists 138 substances, including 53 newly added substances.
ECHA and the EU member states add substances to the list annually, but work through the list on a rolling basis. They are evaluated under the bloc’s REACH law (Regulation No. 1907/2006 on the registration, evaluation and authorization of chemicals).
