The European Union’s accounting adviser has changed its constitution so that it can draw up the sustainability reporting rules likely to be mandatory for all big European companies from 2023.
The European Financial Reporting Advisory Group said in an email Wednesday that it changed its governance structure so it can cover sustainability reporting as well as financial accounting.
- EFRAG said 13 new organizations have become members, on top of the previous 17 members that help to fund its work. The new members include trade unions, investors, and academics.
