Equinor Takes Political, Legal Approach to Lift Empire Wind Halt

Equinor ASA is taking both a political and legal approach to revive its beleaguered Empire Wind project off the coast of New York, said Chief Executive Officer Anders Opedal.

“We are working on two tracks, working with Bureau of Ocean Energy Management and at the same time taking the stop-work order through the courts,” the executive said in an interview at a conference south of Oslo on Tuesday.
