EPA’s Regan Seeks More Collaboration on Redeveloping Brownfields

EPA Administrator Michael Regan laid out a vision of close collaboration with local governments on brownfield redevelopment on Tuesday, stressing that the agency will lean heavily on states, cities, and tribes to identify areas needing cleanup and to decide how best to return them to productive use.

Regan also said the Environmental Protection Agency will “significantly expand” its technical assistance to communities, targeting those that haven’t gotten funding in the past.
