EPA Chemical Office Will Add Staff as Part of Reorganization (1)

The EPA will go on a hiring campaign to beef up the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention’s ability to do the dozens of chemical risk evaluations it’s been tasked with, agency officials said Thursday.

While planning the major reorganization of the division that was announced Sept. 8, the Environmental Protection Agency identified vacancies for many branches that need to be filled, said Yvette Collazo, director of the pollution prevention program, on a call that was shared by an employee who wasn’t authorized to speak publicly.
