Marie Owens Powell, the president of the EPA’s biggest union and a prominent voice for the workforce, is retiring from the agency March 8, according to an email she sent to union members.
Powell will continue as president of American Federation of Government Employees Local 238 until the executive board makes arrangements for a transition, she wrote in her email, which was reviewed by Bloomberg Law.
