Union Files Labor Charge Against EPA Over Wheeler Remarks (1)

The EPA’s biggest union announced the filing of an unfair labor practice charge against the agency on Thursday, accusing Administrator Andrew Wheeler of making false claims about the negotiations of a new labor contract.

In the Aug. 10 filing with the Federal Labor Relations Authority, the American Federation of Government Employees alleged Wheeler in late July told Region 8 staff during an all-hands meeting that the agency had offered greater telecommuting flexibility to employees, but the offer was rejected because the union wanted more benefits for union leadership.
