The EPA told groups Thursday it will formally revisit National Ambient Air Quality Standards for ozone pollution that were left alone during the Trump Administration.
The agency informed health and environmental groups involved in litigation over the ozone NAAQS about the reconsideration, but hasn’t made a formal announcement.
Groups launched a lawsuit against the EPA over “do nothing” ozone standards in February of this year, claiming that the Trump administration flew against public health protection by leaving ozone air standards unchanged from their 2015 levels.
