EPA Taking Comment on Plans to Examine Risks of 13 Chemicals (1)

The Environmental Protection Agency released on Monday its plans to evaluate the risks of 13 widely used chemicals.

Shell Chemical LP, Koch Industries, Inc., Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co., Westlake Chemical Corp., Olin Corp., Formosa Plastics Corp., and Lanxess Corp., are just a few of the chemical manufacturers producing the 13 chemicals, which are used by diverse industries to make rubber, fuels, vinyl, and other products.

The preliminary plans describe the uses of the 13 chemicals the agency plans to examine—as required by the 2016 amendments to the Toxic Substances Control Act—as well as health and environmental concerns ...
