EPA Takes First Step in Rollback of Good Neighbor Air Rule (1)

Eight states will have their traveling ozone air plans approved under the first phase of an EPA plan to reconsider more stringent Good Neighbor rules from the Biden administration, the agency said Wednesday.

Under the proposal, the Environmental Protection Agency would greenlight ozone mitigation plans from Alabama, Arizona, Kentucky, Minnesota, Mississippi, Nevada, New Mexico, and Tennessee. States are mandated to have these plans approved under National Ambient Air Quality Standards.
