The EPA caught up on a sizable backlog of corporate notices about chemicals’ substantial risks, recently completing reviews of more than 3,000 to make sure the knowledge is available for agency decisions and the public.
The Environmental Protection Agency also has taken steps to increase staff awareness of the notices and prevent another stockpile building up again, the agency announced on Oct. 10 and said in later replies to questions.
