EPA Sued Over Florida Impaired Waters List; Group Says Some Pollution Sources Ignored

The Florida Wildlife Federation is suing the Environmental Protection Agency for approving the state’s list of impaired waters for a subgroup of waters in South Florida without accounting for all sources of pollution, failing to consider methods to prevent degradation of water quality and failing to submit complete water quality data in violation of the Clean Water Act (Florida Wildlife Fed’n v. McCarthy).
