EPA Staff Still Reporting to Work Despite Government Shutdown

EPA employees have not yet been furloughed and are still reporting to their jobs even during the government shutdown that kicked in Wednesday, according to union officials and staff members.

No information about carryover funds or expected timelines has been shared with the American Federation of Government Employees, which has historically been consulted during previous shutdowns, said Justin Chen, president of AFGE Council 238.
