The EPA has asked a federal appeals court to postpone oral arguments about a fundamental chemical analysis regulation so new Trump administration officials can “decide what action, if any, is necessary.”
Wednesday’s motion, which also seeks a 90-day pause in the lawsuit, addresses challenges before the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to a 2024 regulation about how the Environmental Protection Agency evaluates the health and environmental risks of chemicals, an analysis that determines whether they must be regulated.
