EPA Remains Focused on Government Efficiency, Official Says

The EPA is trying to turbocharge its efforts by snipping out bureaucratic steps that don’t add value, a top agency official said Thursday.

The move is consistent with the Trump administration’s heavy emphasis on efficiency. That effort, embodied by the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has been widely criticized by unions, environmental groups, and other White House opponents for being ineffective, misguided, and unfocused.
