EPA Releases Safety Tips for ‘Bug Bomb’ Use

The Environmental Protection Agency on May 8 posted a fact sheet and a series of videos promoting the safe use of foggers. Total release foggers, also known as “bug bombs,” are pesticide products used to control household pests, including cockroaches and fleas. The fact sheet urges consumers to read the product label carefully in order to prevent overuse. EPA also warns users to keep foggers away from ignition sources to avoid fires and to vacate the treated area immediately following application.
