The EPA released for public comment Friday its preliminary plans to examine the risks posed by seven widely used chemicals, including formaldehyde.
The risk analyses the Environmental Protection Agency is conducting will ultimately decide whether the electronics, plastics, funeral, and many other industries can continue to use these chemicals.
Companies that have produced one or more of the seven chemicals include the Koch Industries Inc., Eastman Chemical Co., and W.R. Grace and Co.
