The EPA is reestablishing an advisory board for the Great Lakes nearly three years since it last met, adding 14 new members to weigh in on issues including the lakes’ invasive species and water pollution.
The Great Lakes Advisory Board will work with Republican Michigan Reps. Bill Huizenga and Fred Upton to provide recommendations for two initiatives to restore the lakes, the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative and the U.S.-Canada Great Lakes Water Quality Agreement, the Environmental Protection Agency said on Wednesday.
