The EPA asked a federal court to return back to the agency its 2024 rule governing how the agency evaluates chemical risks and place litigation challenging that rule on hold so it can initiate a new rulemaking as soon as possible.
In a motion filed on Monday, the Environmental Protection Agency asked the US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit to remand the regulation and pause proceedings including oral arguments, which are scheduled for March 21.
