Lek Kadeli, a former top official in the EPA’s pesticides and toxic chemicals bureau, has become a senior adviser in the agency’s Office of the Chief Financial Officer, an agency spokesman has confirmed.
Kadeli’s new office has oversight over the Environmental Protection Agency’s annual budget and performance plan, coordinates its strategic planning, provides financial services, and makes payments to EPA grant recipients, contractors, and other vendors.
He leaves his post as acting deputy assistant administrator for management at the Office of Chemical Safety and Pollution Prevention.
