EPA Must Review Pesticide’s Environment Effects, Court Says (1)

The Environmental Protection Agency must review the effects of a registered insecticide on endangered species, a federal appeals court ruled.

The agency had a “clear duty” to perform an effects determination before registering cyantraniliprole, or CTP, in 2014, and it also had a “clear duty” to obey a 2017 US Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit order, a three-judge panel of the court said.
