EPA OKs Changes to New York and New Jersey Clean Air Plans

The Environmental Protection Agency for Region 2 approved several updates to New York and New Jersey’s clean air plans, the agency announced on Tuesday.

Under the Clean Air Act, states must update their clean air plans, or State Implementation Plans (SIPs), when national ambient air quality standards are changed to show how they will meet federal requirements.
