Buyout and early retirement offers have been made to 182 employees at the EPA’s Chicago office, contingent on them leaving the agency by Sept. 2, a union official said July 17.
The agency’s goal is to get 78 people to leave the Chicago office, Mike Mikulka, president of Local 704 of the American Federation of Government Employees, said during a news briefing with AFGE President J. David Cox Sr. and Sierra Club Minnesota Chapter Director Margaret Levin.
