EPA, Hercules Agree on $11.3 Million New Jersey Superfund Cleanup

Chemical manufacturer Hercules LLC expects to pay $11.3 million in a proposed agreement with the EPA to clean up a Superfund site in New Jersey contaminated with lead and other toxic compounds, the agency said Monday.

  • Under the consent decree, the Environmental Protection Agency will oversee the company’s cleanup work at the Gibbstown, N.J., site known as Hercules Inc.
