EPA Fleshes Out Ranks With More Former Obama-Era Appointees

The Biden administration continued fleshing out its EPA ranks on Tuesday, appointing a mixture of Obama-era holdovers and academics to key roles.

Among the new hires is Marianne Engelman Lado, who becomes deputy general counsel for environmental initiatives within the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of the General Counsel. Lado’s background includes stints as director of an environmental justice clinic at Vermont Law School, lecturer at both the Yale University School of Public Health and Yale School of the Environment, and senior staff attorney at Earthjustice.
